Planning the trip

I've always wanted to go to Alaska. I remember when my dad returned from his trip (many years ago) and told me how beautiful it was. Alison told me she was interested in taking an Alaska cruise. I was already planning to go to Seattle to visit Barb and Ron so thought I could combine that with a cruise. Unfortunately, Barb and Ron can't join us.

I filled out a form on Norwegian Cruise Line's website. Today a rep called me, asking when I might be interested in going. At first, I made a reservation for June but changed it after Alison said they (Alison, David, and Edward) preferred to go in May to save money. It's a big savings so that makes a lot of sense. Since Benjamin is only 1, Alison doesn't have to pay much for him to go, too.

So, I made a deposit for the cruise for Steve and me. I have to make air arrangements via AirTran since Steve and I will use vouchers we have from our "bum" last return trip from Seattle. We'll also need hotel reservations for the night before departure. Good night sleep before departure will work out well for us.
